The Skin The Cat is one of the first calisthenics skills that involves "spinning" through the rings. The exercise requires a lot of abdominal tension and good shoulder mobility.

Grasp the rings and move your body through the rings with your arms straight and legs bent.

Rotate through the rings until either your legs are hanging vertically downwards or your shoulders are limiting you.
Tip
Make sure you start with your legs bent. Over time, you can try to keep your legs straight. Approach the end position slowly, as it can be very unfamiliar at first. If Skin The Cat is still too difficult for you, try lowering the rings and jumping up from the floor. We recommend placing a fall protection mat or similar on the floor to start with.
